On the afternoon of Thursday October 24th, (the SAND conference starts that evening), there will be a meeting for spiritual teachers and leaders at the Dolce Hayes Mansion. At last year’s SAND, Jac O’Keeffe, Craig Holliday, Caverly Morgan, and Rick Archer presented a panel discussion on Ethics and Spiritual Teaching in which they introduced what is now entitled “The Association for Spiritual Integrity.” Since then, participants in ASI webinars and discussions often have expressed how valuable an in-person meeting of teachers and leaders might be. We can’t think of an instance of such a meeting, so we decided to make it happen!
SAND itself comes close, but everyone is engaged in making or attending presentations, so it’s not conducive to deep discussion of the challenges teachers face. What can we learn from one another to be more mutually supportive of our contributions to individual and global awakening? What works for us professionally and/or personally and what doesn’t? Can we turn some challenges into celebrations? We’re excited to see what might arise in such a meeting and we hope you can attend. We’ve debated whether or not to record it, because it will be most productive if we meet openly and honestly, as peers. On the other hand, we may feel by the end of it that our discussion might benefit the general spiritual community. Our current plan is to record the first half of the meeting and only release it if the decision to do so is unanimous.
This is an open invitation to all spiritual leaders, teachers and guides.
