Is Membership Right for You?
At ASI, we recognize that spiritual leaders may need support with some of the items listed below, and ASI is here to raise awareness and provide education about these types of challenges. Please assess your alignment with ASI's core values of integrity, accountability, and continuous personal growth by privately answering these questions.
-
As a spiritual leader, am I willing to take responsibility for maintaining the highest ethical standards and be accountable for any harm my actions may cause to students or clients, even when unintended?
-
Am I willing to open to a deeper awareness of my personal needs, so I can ensure that my personal life remains in integrity with the values I teach and promote as a leader?
-
Am I willing to solicit and respond thoughtfully to all feedback and implement a feedback process for my students and clients?
-
Can I commit to changing my habits, behavior, and practices, where necessary, per the ASI Code of Ethics and Good Practice?
-
Am I ready to engage in a movement that reimagines spiritual leadership for today's evolving spiritual culture?
At ASI, membership implies a commitment to uphold our Code of Ethics in both spirit and practice. While we do not have the resources or the intention to proactively monitor members’ conduct, we have a process in place to address reports of ethical violations raised by students, clients, or peers. This process includes gathering evidence, listening to all parties, and, when possible, offering mediation support. Revoking membership is a last resort, used only when a member’s conduct is found to be in clear and serious violation of our ethical guidelines, and when reconciliation or corrective action is not possible. Our aim is always to act with fairness, transparency, and integrity in protecting the values at the heart of ASI.
-
Am I willing to engage in the process to address any ethical concern reports submitted to ASI about my behavior?

We hope that you are equally as passionate about integrity in spiritual leadership as we are. If the answer is “Yes” to the questions above, the next step in the application process is to watch the videos below for clear explanations of the Code and practical guidance on applying it to your life as a spiritual leader. (You may needs some time to watch the videos and please come back to finish the application when you have a solid understanding of each tenet of the Code.)
